Jacqueline Mac Mootry-Everaert

Between 2000 and 2009 Jacqueline Mac Mootry-Everaert has, for the most time, lived and worked on Aruba (Dutch West Indies).
After painting with Acrylics under guidance of artist Eef van der Straten from 2000-2003 her interest shifted dramatically towards traditional Fine Art and Realism.
Taking up classes in realistic oil painting at Academie Te Wildt in 2003 in the Netherlands, she studied mastering different techniques over a three-year course in realistic painting, before ending it successfully with a final assignment in 2006. In 2007 the artist worked on an extensive 47-piece collection from her studio in Aruba which was on exhibit in a Solo-exhibition in March 2008 in Oranjestad.
Constantly striving to better her techniques the artist has followed several workshops and masterclasses on Aruba and in the Netherlands with different artists like Jo Miklojcik and Gustave Nouel.

Main interests and focus are on Flora and Fauna and Still Lifes. There's a strong preference for birds and transparant (glass) objects. Inspiration comes from the beauty of life itself, the great painters of the 19th Century and impressions from different forms of Visual Arts.
Each new painting holds a challenge to reach for new heights in getting somewhat closer to 'the next level' in performance.

For the past few years Jacqueline Mac Mootry-Everaert has had several exhibitions and joined some very interesting projects, like the Caribbean Crossroads of the World, a project led by the Queens Museum of Art and Studio Museum Harlem, both from New York City, U.S.A.

Four of her works in Oil were chosen for the Dutch Caribbean Art Diary 2009 (Prins Bernhard Cultuur Fonds) and new work was exhibited in the Dutch Caribbean Art Diary 2011.

Currently Mac Mootry-Everaert is living in the Netherlands and working on a new extensive collection which will be on display in 2011-2012.
